Our Unagi bento features Grilled Freshwater Eel from our friends at American Unagi. Offered either Kabayaki style with a sweet soy based sauce made from the heads and bones of the eels or Shirayaki simply seasoned with Japanese Sea Salt. Served atop our Donabe cooked Koshihikari Rice and sprinkled with Sansho. The Kabayaki will come with a bottle of extra sauce as well as a side of Cucumber Sunomono, while the Shirayaki is simply served with Fresh Grated Wasabi from Shizuoka. Reheating instructions for Unagi Bento

Our bento boxes are oven safe to 356 degrees for up to 30 minutes. We recommend removing any wrapping, sauce bottles, pickles or Wasabi, placing them in the oven and heating at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until thoroughly heated throughout. Our boxes are also compostable so please help us minimize impact by composting if possible.
